How to detect hidden cell phones with your own cell phone

Updated April 17, 2017

Millions of individuals carry a cell phone with them throughout their daily routines. Rarely, you come across areas where cell phone use is prohibited. Cell phones communicate with each other through radio waves, which can be an interruption in hospitals, aeroplanes and any other area that uses a lot of electronics. People choose to hide their phones and place them on silent and believe that no one will even know that they have a cell phone. However, using your own cell phone, you can detect any cell phone within a close proximity.

Load the menu screen on your cell phone. Select the "Settings" option from the list. Click the "Manage Connections" option.

Click on the option for "Connectivity" or "Connection" and select "Set up Bluetooth."

Click the button to "Search" for devices nearby. This will prompt a list to load, detecting all the cell phones nearby.

Tip

You can also buy an electronic monitor and use it to detect cell phones nearby.
