How to Update Maps Using Navman's GPS

Updating maps on any GPS system is a necessity to ensure you have the most recent information on your current location and accurate directions to future locations. For the Navman GPS, worldwide maps are available from the online store. When you purchase these maps, you can transfer them from your computer to the device using the NavDesk software that came with the device.

    Open NavDesk on your computer. Go to the "Start" menu, click "All Programs" and select it from the list. If it is not on your computer, install it by inserting the CD that came with the device in your computer's disc drive and following the onscreen prompts.

    Connect the navigation device to the computer using the USB cable.

    Choose "Activation" from the main menu and enter the product code from the map you purchased online.

    Choose the region to update and click "Finish."
