SOP, also known as SopCast, is a program that allows you to stream live video channels across the Internet using peer-to-peer sharing protocol, or P2P. This is the same protocol used in file-sharing programs, such as Napster or BitTorrent. With SopCast, you can access user-posted channels, many of which contain broadcasts of live television channels, including sporting events such as NFL games and soccer matches. The program is free to download, but only runs in Windows, which requires the installation of an additional program, CrossOver, to allow it to run on a Mac running OS X.
