PVC pipe can make a variety of different frames and framing projects. PVC pipe is very durable and is weather proof and surprisingly strong. You can make a PVC frame for almost any project, from a photo frame to a simple frame for a building, such as a greenhouse. Always use glue designed for use with PVC pipes for the strongest bond possible. From the basic shapes, you can use your imagination to frame almost anything with PVC pipes.

Slip the ends of one PVC pipe into the appropriately sized elbow fitting. Pipes less than 1 inch in diameter work best for a simple frame.

Slip another PVC pipe of the same or slightly larger length into the other side of the elbow fitting.

Complete a rectangular or square frame shape by continuing to alternate elbow fittings and pipe pieces. Make sure the top and bottom and left and right sides of the PVC pipes are the same length. The frame will not work if the pipes are of different lengths.

Glue the pipes into the elbow fittings for greater stability and strength. Switch out the elbow fittings for "T" fittings to create a three-dimensional cube shape.

Cut several PVC pipes of various widths into 1 1/2-inch-long pieces.

Make a frame the size that you want the PVC frame to be out of 2 by 4 boards nailed together into a square or rectangle shape.

Lay the PVC pipe circles around the outside perimeter of the 2 by 4 frame in a decorative and somewhat random pattern. Make sure the pipe pieces connect into a large rectangle or square.
