Rolex is a watch brand synonymous with top quality and top price. If you have purchased a Rolex Submariner and something breaks, the best idea is to take your watch to a professional who can repair any problem for you. If you want to do it yourself, however, there are a few problems that can be easily solved on a Rolex Submariner.

- Rolex Submariner
- Pen with a sharp point or something similar
- Drill with bit sizes 1/2 cm in diameter
- New Rolex dial
- Watch polish
- New Rolex hands
- Needle-nose pliers
- Clean rags
Push the pen into the pins on the side of the band to disconnect the band from the watch face. Then pop open the top of the case by prying your pocketknife under the glass.
Remove the old dial from the top of the watch.
Place new dial on top of the case to see if it fits into the same holes. If not, mark the places where it requires holes and drill small holes in the right places for the new dial.
Polish the new dial using a polish that is safe for watches, such as a standard jewellery polish, by pouring some onto a clean rag and wiping the surface of the dial.
Place dial onto the top of the watch and click case back in place.
Reattach the band to the face of the watch.

Disconnect the band from the face of the watch by pushing a pen into the pins and popping them out.
Pry the case off of the face with the pocketknife.
Lift the old hands off the face with the needle-nose pliers.
Clip new hands into place.
Replace case and band.
