If your Toshiba Tecra M2 contains sensitive data, or if your notebook will be in a public location where you want additional security, you may want to use security features such as a challenge code to protect your files. The Tecra M2 model has two separate types of challenge codes to keep unwanted users from accessing your operating system. The procedure for resetting the current challenge code to a new code is different depending on whether you are using a BIOS password or the standard Windows password.
