How to use untangle as a proxy

Once you set up your Untangle server, you must set up the computers to use your Untangle server as a Web filter proxy. Untangle provides you with filtering from malware and other malicious websites. After connecting computers using Ethernet cables to your Untangle filter, you must configure them to appropriately receive proxy Internet addresses assigned to them.

Instructions

    Start with one computer and click the "Start" menu. Click "Control Panel."

    Click "Network and Internet" and click "Network and Sharing Center."

    Click the "Change adaptor settings" link on the left side of the window.

  4. 4

    Right-click on the network adaptor connecting to your Untangle server and click "Properties."

  5. 5

    Select "Internet Protocol Version 4" and click "Properties."

  6. 6

    Select "Obtain an IP address automatically" and click "OK."

  7. 7

    Repeat the entire process on every computer connected to the Untangle server.
