Making a natural lip stain at home can be as simple as mashing up fresh berries of the right colour, or as difficult as mixing up some jello--which is not difficult at all. Using jello, though, is not as "natural" as using the fresh berries.

Skill level:

Things you need

  • Fresh berries (in choice of lip colour)
  • Beets

  1. 1

Pick the colour of lips you want and chose a fruit that matches it. For pink, use strawberries; for red, use beets; to add a bluish tint or to make a purple stain, mix the red fruits with blueberries.

  2. 2

Mash up the fruit or fruits of choice. Make sure to retain the juice as this it what you'll use to stain your lips.

  3. 3

Use a finger or a q-tip to apply the juice to your lips. Be careful to get the stain right on the lips. Do not go outside the lip line as the stain will be difficult to remove.

  4. 4

Make fresh stain each day. Eat, or refrigerate, the leftovers, as they can stay fresh for a couple days if kept cold.
