Many Toshiba laptop models, such as the Portege, Qosmio and Satellite, come with integrated Chicony-brand webcams. Many Toshiba laptop owners report problems with the Chicony when running Windows Vista or Windows 7. An update released by Microsoft for Windows Vista and Windows 7 addresses the common problem of Chicony webcams failing after restarting the laptop from "Sleep" mode. Other display problems with the webcams on Toshiba laptops are usually the result of a faulty device driver.
