With the Windows CE operating system installed on your computer, you use the Platform Builder application to manager your system. Also, with the Platform Builder program, you can monitor your applications and programs, including remote tools. In order to work with remote tools on your computer, such as a mobile phone or other wireless device, it's important to set up the Remote Performance Monitor feature. You can then use these tool in the feature to track the usage and memory of your remote devices.

    Click the "Start" button from your Windows CE desktop and then click the "All Programs" option.

    Click the "Windows CE 5.0" option from the list of programs and then click the "Platform Builder" option. The Platform Builder window will then appear.

    Click the "Tools" option from the top toolbar menu and then click the "Remote Performance Monitor" option.

    Click the "Windows CE Default Program" option and then click the "Default Device" option. Click the "OK" button.

    Click the "Edit" option from the top menu and then click the "Add to Chart" option. The default objects will then appear in the Add to Chart dialogue box.

    Click the "CE Memory Statistics" option from the "Object" box and then click the "Memory Load" option from the "Counter" box.

    Click the "Add" button and then click the "Done" button. You can now safely insert any remote device that you want to use with your computer.
