The Atheros Ar5006x wireless adaptor includes a number of settings you can adjust to improve the performance of your wireless connection.     Login to Windows 7 with the user name and password of an account that has administrator permissions on the computer. Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the Windows 7 PC desktop and click "Search." Type "ncpa.cpl" and press the "Enter" key. The "Network Connections" window will appear.

    Right-click on the icon of the Atheros Ar5006x wireless network adaptor and click "Properties" in the menu that appears. Click the "Configure" button. Select "Channel" or "WZC IBSS channel number" from the list in the "Property" box and then click the "Value" drop-down box and select a new channel from the list displayed.

    Click "OK" to save the settings. Close the "Network Connections" window.
