D-Link's DNS-323 device connects directly to a network, providing network backup and file-sharing functionality with its built-in hard drive. Users can enable and configure an FTP server on the DNS-323, setting up peruser file access settings and global FTP server settings. Up to 10 users can be connected to the DNS-323's FTP server at once, on the local network or over the Internet. The D-Link's FTP server allows downloading and uploading to the device using standard tools included with every operating system, including Windows Explorer.
