Microsoft's DirectX platform is the tool for Windows computers to display complex multimedia features such as 3D graphics, animation, rich video and audio. You cannot fully enjoy a video game or an animation element if your computer system lacks DirectX. Windows comes preinstalled with this platform; however, you can still download the installation file from the Web. This allows you to install this file at a time that is convenient for you without having to be connected to the Internet.
