Photodex ProShow Producer is presentation software that allows you to add images, audio, video and special effects to create and edit high quality and professional slideshow presentations. Photodex ProShow Producer has advanced features that you do not ordinarily see in common slideshow software, such as broadcasting slideshows on Facebook and YouTube and high-definition (HD) video output. Instructions

  1. 1

Download, install and launch the trial version of ProShow Producer (see Resources below).

  2. 2

Click the "Folder" icon from the ProShow Producer toolbar to browse a folder that contains images you would like to add to a slideshow. A preview window is at the left side of ProShow Producer for easy access to your images.

  3. 3

Select images for your slideshow by dragging an image into ProShow Producer's timeline. Repeat this process for every image you want in your slideshow.

  4. 4

Adjust the slide timeline by changing the values on the timeline. The value control on the right is the slideshow's transition to the next slide. The value control at the bottom of the timeline displays the duration of your slideshow. The transition values and display values by default are at 3.0, which means this slide displays for approximately six seconds. Adjust these values according to your preference.

  5. 5

Apply transition effects to your slideshow. Each slide in ProShow Producer uses a default transition effect. Change the transition effect by clicking the "AB" icon on next to the slideshow thumbnail in the timeline. Wait for the transition effects to load, and a list of transition effects appear on screen. Play with each transition effect to see which one fits your needs.

  6. 6

Add text captions to each slide. Add a caption by double-clicking on a slide thumbnail in the timeline and clicking the "Captions" tab when the dialogue window appears. Type a text caption in the text box. You can adjust the position of the text box by dragging it with your mouse from the preview window. Then click "OK."

  7. 7

Add audio to your slideshow. Click the "Folder" icon on the toolbar to locate a folder on your computer for audio files. ProShow Producer supports MP3 and WAV audio formats. Drag the audio files to the ProShow Producer timeline labelled "Soundtrack" to add your audio to your slideshow.

  8. 8

Click "Create Output" on the ProShow toolbar to export your slideshow. This option allows you to create a slideshow in Video CD (VCD), Blu-ray or DVD format to save on your computer. You also can save your slideshow as a WMV, FLV, MOV, AVI or MPEG-1 or MPEG-2.
