Over time, your reading glasses will accumulate dirt and oils from your body and the environment. For this reason, you should clean your glasses regularly to keep your field of vision clear. Since cleaning with paper products can scratch your lenses, use only soft cloths.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Rinse your glasses with tap water to remove dirt and oils.

  2. 2

Dry your glasses with a microfibre cloth. Micro-fibre cloths often come free with lenses. You can buy them at most vision centres. If you don't have a microfibre cloth, you can use a soft cotton cloth.

  3. 3

Store your glasses in a case or put them on again.
