There are a couple of reasons why your Cogeco cable receiver may be locked. Someone may have intentionally placed a lock on a specific channel, title or program rating through the Parental Control settings. But by the same way a Parental Control lock can be set, it can also be removed individually or by group, permanently or temporarily. Another reason your Cogeco cable receiver may be locked has to do with overheating. If the Cogeco cable receiver is not well ventilated, overheating can cause the receiver to "freeze." This is an involuntarily lockout that is typically easy to fix.
