United Kingdom-based Evesham Technology catered to both computer users and owners of the company's GPS navigation systems. When the company was liquidated in January 2008, however, the future of GPS firmware updates and device support was uncertain. India-based company Tewktech began to offer subscription support services and free e-mail support to Evesham customers a year later, which provided a solution to Evesham update issues that customers were experiencing. Contact Tewktech regarding what updated software is available for your particular device, in order to experience the GPS unit's full functionality.
Send an e-mail to Tewktech. Navigate to the form on the company's website (see Resources) and fill out the boxes, including name, e-mail, "Tech Support" department, subject line and a summary of your request. Type the code at the end of the message and press "Submit Ticket."
Wait for a support staff member to return your message. You will be forwarded a link to a free upgrade for your particular model of GPS device or informed of which free upgrade services are compatible.
Turn on your Evesham device and a Web-ready computer, and connect the two with your USB cable.
Navigate to the website to which you're directed and click on "Download" for the software upgrade. Choose "Save File" and place the file on your computer.
Double-click the file after it downloads and choose "Run." Follow the prompts to fully install the firmware upgrade to your Evesham device.
Due to the liquidation, Tewktech may inform you that there are no available updates for your device. This is dependent on the device's age and how dated your firmware is.
