How to Check Your HP Warranty

When you purchase a piece of HP computer equipment (either a desktop computer, laptop computer, or a component like a printer), it comes with a limited manufacturer's warranty. The warranty covers a replacement or repair of the device if something goes wrong soon after purchase. You can see the status of your HP warranty on the HP website designed just for that purpose.

    Open Internet Explorer and type in the HP Product Warranty Status Check website address in the address bar. Hit "Enter."

    Type your serial number and product number into the labelled boxes on screen. You can find the numbers in three common places, including on a label on the rear of your HP device, in the instruction manual that came with the unit, or on the box the product came in.

    Click the "Go" button to see the current status of your HP warranty.
