How to Access Voice Mail From an External Line in Avaya

Avaya is a telephone system that allows you to access services on the Internet. It is not a basic landline telephone. You can access your voicemail in the office by dialling your voicemail box extension. When you are away you can still access your voicemail box. In some cases your system administrator might have to set you up with remote access. Here is the general instructions for accessing Avaya voicemail from an external telephone line.

Instructions

    Dial your work telephone number from a touch-tone telephone.

  2. 2

    Enter your extension when it goes to voicemail. You can also enter your extension when the automated message asks you to enter the extension of the party you are calling.

    Listen to the voicemail greeting. Press "8" if you wish to interrupt the voicemail greeting.

  4. 4

    Press "2" to get your voicemail messages.

  5. 5

    Press "0" to listen to your message.

  6. 6

    Press "7" to repeat a message, "5" to save one, and press"Star" then "3" to delete.

    Ask to be transferred to your voicemail extension when the operator answers.

    Press "0" to listen to your messages.
