Deterministic Network Enhancer (DNE) is a program originally built by Deterministic Networks and later purchased by Citrix. It extends or replaces Windows system communication protocols to allow precise measurement and detection for Virtual Private Networks, Network Address Translation, measuring traffic, bandwidth, compressing data, filtering and protecting content, billing network usage time and more. Some root-kit and virus scanners may mistake DNE as a hostile threat because it interferes with the system's default network functionality. If you have mistakenly damaged your DNE installation or simply wish to refresh it, you can do so by reinstalling it on your Windows server.
