A flow restrictor helps to limit or block the amount of water that comes out of your showerhead. There are two types of restrictors that you can attach to your showerhead. The first is called an internal flow restrictor; it is placed inside the pipe where your showerhead attaches. The second is called an external flow restrictor. It is fixed between the pipe and the showerhead. No matter which one you choose, a water flow restrictor reduces water waste and can help lower your water bill.
