How to find a VNC password
If you've forgotten your VNC password, third-party software can help get you back into the server. (login image by Edvin selimovic from Fotolia.com)

Because the Virtual Network Computer, or VNC, application allows you to connect with another computer on the VNC server, including viewing and editing applications and documents on that remote desktop, you may choose to protect your VNC server with a username and password to block unwanted users. Changing your password is simple, but if you forget your VNC password entirely, finding it requires downloading third-party software that specialises in cracking and recovering VNC passwords.
