    Visit the HP software and driver download website (see Resources). Click the "+" symbol next to "BIOS" to expand the available updates. Click "Download" next to "WinFlash for HP Notebook System BIOS." Save the file to your desktop when prompted.

    Double-click the downloaded executable to run the BIOS update utility.

    Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the BIOS flashing process. Allow the self-installer to scan for your current BIOS setting to determine if the update is needed.
