Many computer users were annoyed by the sudden appearance of the Bing toolbar in place of the MSN search bar on Windows Live Search. The Bing bar takes up a great deal of space. If you want to uninstall the Bing bar, removal is straightforward, even for people with limited computer knowledge.

    Press the "Start" button at the bottom left of your PC desktop screen and select "Control Panel."

    Choose "Add/Remove Programs." Wait for all programs to appear in the dialogue box. This might take a few moments while your computer collects all the information it needs.

    Scroll down to the program labelled "Bing" or "Bing Toolbar." Programs list alphabetically.

    Highlight "Bing" and click either the "Remove" or "Uninstall" option that appears above the dialogue box.

    Wait for the Control Panel to completely uninstall the program. This might take a few minutes. Follow any screen prompts that appear during this process.

    Restart your PC and access your Web browser. You can still use Bing, or any other search engine, from your browser.
