Unlock the Creative Zen V by sliding the locking switch up. The locking switch is located on the left side of the device.
Press up on the power switch, located on the left side of the Creative Zen V, and hold it until the screen turns on. Pressing up on the power switch and releasing it immediately will not turn on the MP3 player.
Charge the Creative Zen V battery by plugging one end of the USB charger into the USB port on the top of the player and connecting the other end to a USB port on a computer.
Reset the player when it does not turn on by inserting a straightened paper clip into the small "Reset" hole located on the lower left side of the device.
