Cisco IP phones are ideal for an office environment. They include features like conference calls, speaker phones, a large LCD display and light-up buttons. You can transfer calls or call coworkers by dialling their extensions. Just as you would with other telephones, you can insert a pause in a phone number.
Enter the phone number using the keypad.
Press the star (*) key to enter a pause. Depending on the type of Cisco phone you have, you may need to enter the pound (#) instead.
Dial the extension of the person to which you want to contact, transfer or forward a call.
Consult your Cisco IP phone user guide if you still cannot find the pause button.
