How to Disable Gprs in Samsung

Updated April 17, 2017

GPRS is the network all cellular providers use to provide data services. When the GPRS is activated, the user is able to utilise services such as e-mail, picture messaging and mobile Internet. This is an advantage to most customers, although when no data service is on the current plan, this can also create very expensive overage charges, disabling the GPRS can solve this problem by preventing the user from any form of data usage.

Go to the main menu on the Samsung phone and select "Settings."

Click "Network Settings."

Open "Connection Settings" and highlight "GPRS."

Click "Disable." The GPRS network on the Samsung is now disabled.
