A memory jar is a personal way to tell someone you know how much you love them. The whole point is to give a person a gift of their memories, with small mementos encapsulated in a decorative jar. Making a memory jar is easy and doesn't require a lot of crafting skill.

Things you need
- Glass jar
- Construction or coloured paper
Select a glass or plastic jar with a lid. Use one with a fun shape and look to it. You can also decorate the jar with paper cutouts, stickers and ribbons to give it a bit more personality.
Gather small items that can easily fit in the jar that relate to memories or things from your life or the recipient's life. These can be ticket stubs or small items like seashells. Another idea is to cut out strips of paper to write memories, words of encouragement or inside jokes on.
Place all the memory components into the jar, taking care in how you put the items in the jar so they will look presentable from the outside. If filling with paper strips of memories, fold them in half and fill the jar to the top.
Place the lid on the jar and top off with decorative ribbon and any finishing details.
