Pyramid tree crafts can be used as a holiday decoration and placed on your tables as a centrepiece or within a miniature holiday village. The pyramid tree is made from a piece of coloured card stock that is folded into the three dimensional pyramid shape and then decorated like a real holiday tree. You can do this craft on your own or have kids help or make their own for a forest of pyramid trees all decorated in a different way.

Things you need
- Green card stock, 30-inch square
- White glue
- Hot glue stick
- Hot glue gun
- Garland, 2-foot strand
- Small paper clip
- Wooden star
Measure and draw a 4-by-4-inch square in the centre of a 30-inch square sheet of green-coloured card stock or poster board.
Draw a small dot on the centre of each side of the square.
Measure 10 inches up from the centre dot of the top side of the square and draw a dot. Connect the dot to the left and right ends of the top side of the square to form a triangle. Repeat on the other sides of the square for a total of four triangles, one extending in each direction from the sides of the square.
Measure and draw a 1-inch wide rectangle along the right side of each triangle that begins and ends 1 inch from the end points of the triangle. These rectangles will act as tabs for the tree.
Cut along the perimeter of the tree. Do not cut off the tabs or the triangles from the square. The end shape will resemble a four-pointed star.
Fold the triangles up at the line that connects each one to the square. Bring the triangles inward to create the three-dimensional pyramid shape for the tree.
Fold one tab in towards the centre of the pyramid. Add a line of white glue to the outside face of the tab. Push the tab against the adjacent triangle to secure the two sides together. Repeat on the additional tabs. Allow the glue to dry to complete the pyramid tree shape.
Apply a pea-sized amount of glue from a hot glue gun to the top of one side of the tree. Place the end of a 2-foot long strand of garland into the glue and allow it to dry.
Wrap the garland several times around the tree, moving down the pyramid as your wrap. Glue the garland to the tree after every three sides to keep the garland secure.
Cut off any excess garland on the bottom of the tree and glue it to the side of the tree with your glue gun.
Straighten out the end of a small paper clip. Apply a pea-sized amount of hot glue to the centre of a small, wooden star. Place the curled end of the paper clip on the glue so the straightened end points down.
Slide the straight edge of the paper clip into the top of the pyramid tree to secure the star and complete the pyramid tree.
