How to Perform a Cold Reset on an HP Deskjet 5150

The Hewlett-Packard Deskjet 5150 is a colour inkjet printer that is a bit older. The HP Deskjet 5150 is a print-only printer that connects to your PC or Mac computer through the USB port. The printer has up to 1,200 dots per inch for black ink and 4,800 dots per inch for colour ink, making it suitable for printing photographs. If your HP Deskjet 5150 gives you problems, you can perform a cold reset to fix them.

Unplug your HP Deskjet 5150 from the power outlet and wait for 15 seconds. Plug in the printer.

Hold the "Reset" button near the back of the printer for about 10 seconds.

Press the "Power" button and hold the "Reset" button for another 5 seconds. Release the "Reset" button.
