Pavers come in a wide variety of colours, shapes, sizes and materials. This allows homeowners to create truly customised patios and walkways by installing the pavers in unique combinations. One tricky part of installing pavers is cutting them to fit around a corner. Cutting pavers to install at the corner of a walkway or building is similar to cutting other pavers, except that a V-shaped notch is created to fit the corner.

Measure the area where the paver will be installed, using a tape measure. Since you must cut out a V-shape, make sure to measure both sides of the V accurately and write down each measurement separately.
Transfer both measurements onto the surface of the paver, using the tape measure and a pencil. The pencil marks should resemble the V that must be cut out so the paver will fit.
Put on safety glasses and insert a diamond-tipped saw blade into a wet saw. Screw the end of a garden hose into the water inlet on the side of the saw, according to the manufacturer's instructions. Turn on the water.
Turn the saw on and move the paver slowly toward it making sure that you align one of the pencil marks with the saw blade. Push the paver forward slowly just until the blade reaches the end of the pencil line.
Pull the paver out from the saw and reposition it so the other pencil line is aligned with the saw blade. Push the paver forward, allowing the blade to cut along the pencil line. When you reach the end of the line, pull the paver out.
Hit the centre triangular area with a hammer to remove it, if it did not already fall out.
Place the paver in the proper position in the patio or walkway and check the cuts for accuracy. If you need to trim off a little more of the paver, place the tip of a chisel at the top edge of the paver and hit the top of the chisel with a hammer to shave off small amounts until it fits perfectly into position.
