Resetting the ink pad counter on your Epson CX5200 or RX500 series printer will allow the printer to resume the device's regular functionality after an "Ink Pad Full" warning. The ink pads installed inside the CX5200 and RX500 series printers collect waste ink from maintenance cycles, as well as other regular printing tasks. Epson recommends resetting the ink pad counter on your printer only after replacing the ink pads. Resetting the ink pad counter for your printer only takes a few minutes and a special software utility.
