Park the Dodge Stratus on a level, firm surface, set the parking brake and place a wood block behind one of the rear tires.
Loosen the lug nuts with a tire tool one complete turn on the tire you are removing. Lift the vehicle up with a floor jack and place a jack stand under the axle near the tire you need to remove.
Lower the vehicle so it is resting on the jack stand and move the floor jack aside. Unfasten the lug nuts with the tire tool then take the tire off the vehicle and set it out of the way.
Take the E-clip off the end of the bolt on the bottom of the brake caliper, prying it off with a screwdriver. Unfasten the bolts that secure the brake caliper to the rotor with a socket wrench then lift the brake caliper off the rotor.
Remove the brake pads from the brake caliper and suspend the caliper from the vehicle's frame with a wire hanger. Detach the ABS sensor from the rotor and move the rotor back and forth gently until you can slide it off the axle.
Pry the axle cap off the end of the axle with a flat head screwdriver and remove the cottar pin from the axle with a pair of pliers. Slide the crown washer off the axle and remove the axle nut with a crescent wrench.
Unfasten the bolts that secure the wheel hub to the axle with a socket wrench. Tap the back of the wheel hub with a rubber mallet to loosen it from the axle.
Slide the wheel hub assembly off the axle and set it out of the way.
