Most automotive clocks are adjusted by turning a knob or holding a button to cycle through the hour and minutes. However, in the latest Ford Escape model, the owner must manually input the time using the handy number strip pad beneath the CD player slot. Some Escape models have a six-disc changer built into the dash, but the process to change the time is the same for all models.

Skill level:
Moderately Easy

  1. 1

Press the "Clock" button directly underneath the number strip beneath the CD player slot. The radio's screen will read "Set Time."

  2. 2

Input the current time using the number strip pad beneath the CD player slot. The strip pad contains the digits "0" through "9." For example, if you wanted to set the time to "4:23," type the digits "0-4-2-3."

  3. 3

Push "Clock" again to save the setting.

Tips and warnings

  • The ignition must be "On" while you are changing the time.
