Instructions

  1. 1

Buy a cassette tape adaptor if the SX4 has a tape deck. Put the tape into the stereo. Plug the other end of the adaptor into the iPod's headphone port. Press "Play" on the tape deck. The adaptor will play the iPod's output as though it were a cassette through the SX4's stereo.

  2. 2

Buy a wireless FM transmitter. Plug the transmitter into the iPod. Tune the FM radio in the SX4 to an unused station. Tune the transmitter to the same station, and press "Play" on the iPod.

  3. 3

Buy an auxiliary input, and have it installed by a professional if you do not have extensive knowledge of the SX4's radio. Many retailers will provide a free installation with purchase. The cable will be wired into the auxiliary input in the stereo, and run into the cockpit of the SX4. You can plug it into the headphone jack of the iPod anytime you wish to listen to it through the SX4's speakers. The sound quality produced is near-perfect.
