Garmin's dashboard disks allow many types of GPS devices to be mounted on a vehicle's dashboard instead of its windshield. These dashboard disks can be purchased individually for £5.10 per pair as of October 2010, but they are also included with some GPS devices, such as the Nuvi 200 series. The disks work by adhering to a clean, dry vehicle dashboard, then, the GPS suction cup mount adheres to the disks.

Clean the area where you want to install the disks on the vehicle's dashboard with a damp cloth, then dry the dashboard.
Peel the paper backing away from the permanent mounting adhesive located on the disk's bottom.
Press the disk onto the dashboard in the desired location, then set the GPS suction cup mount on top of the disk. Flip the suction cup mount's lever down, in the direction of the disk. This locks the GPS in place.
