After an extended period of use, your HP Officejet 7410 printer may become misaligned, which will cause your prints to be off centre or have odd colour configurations. The printer includes an automatic alignment correcting procedure, but its possible for the procedure to fail if there are other problems with the printer. Fixing a failed alignment is done by troubleshooting several different hardware configurations before attempting a new cartridge alignment.

Tips and warnings
- If the printer still doesn't properly print an alignment page, you may need to completely uninstall and reinstall the printer's driver software. Navigate through the "Start" menu to "All Programs" and "HP" and select "Uninstall." Insert the printer's installation disc after the uninstall process finishes and follow the installation directions on the screen. Return to the "Align Print Cartridges" option on the printer's control panel and hit "OK."
