You can reset the airbag light on your vehicle from your home garage, saving yourself a trip to the dealership or mechanic. The airbag light, also known as the SRS light (supplemental restraint system), illuminates on the vehicle's instrument panel usually only after the vehicle has been in an accident and the airbag has deployed. But there are other circumstances that may cause the SRS light to turn on, such as after the installation of a new radio or there a malfunction within the airbag system itself. After all repairs have been performed, you can reset the airbag light yourself using a handheld computerised tool purchased from an auto parts retailer.
