Toner cartridges are the large, powder-filled cartridges that you install in laser printers. Office Depot estimates that the average home laser printer will need a new toner cartridge several times a year. Throwing all those toner cartridges in a landfill will take up space and have potentially harmful effects on the environment. Office Depot has a comprehensive program for recycling ink and toner cartridges. If you sign up for the free Worklife Rewards program, you can also receive store credit for recycling.
