    Gather the USB type A connector, as well as the 4-pole 3.5mm connector. Connect all the points between the two through the aid of the wires. These contact points are small and not easy to locate. (See References for a graphic description)

    Solder the contact points with a soldering iron, making sure that you leave no space between connections. In order to cross-check the shorts between connections, use of a multimeter.
