Recovering the eMachines E520 notebook erases all of the personal data and programs on your laptop and reverts it to its factory settings. Recovering your laptop is an easy way to remove any viruses that have become rooted on the laptop's hard drive and also to remove files associated with old programs that are no longer on your laptop. You should also recover the laptop if you are giving it to a family member or friend.
