How to program a viper key fob

Updated February 21, 2017

Viper is among the common brands of alarm systems around the United States. These alarms can be equipped on most vehicles and can be accessed with a pocket-sized keyless remote, also known as a key fob. You can program your fob remote from your car in just minutes using the ignition key and the remote, and you will have the system ready to use right away.

Enter your car and open the vehicle's door. Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the "Run" position.

Press the "Valet" button on your remote within 15 seconds and wait for the car's horn to chirp.

Continue holding the "Valet" button and press the button on the transmitter that you would like to program.

Wait for the horn to chirp again and release the "Valet" button again to complete the process.
