How to remove scuff marks from laminate flooring

Updated February 21, 2017

If your laminate flooring becomes scuffed due to heavy foot traffic or something skidding across its surface, don't despair at the thought of removing the marks. Laminate flooring is far more forgiving than the hard wood or tile flooring on which it was modelled. The proper supplies and a bit of elbow grease will enable you to make your floor look as good as new.

Spray the scuff mark with window cleaner.

Rub the laminate floor gently with a cleaning cloth until the mark disappears.

Dry the floor with a clean cloth.

Things You'll Need

  • Window cleaner containing vinegar or ammonia
  • Cleaning cloths
