How to Mount a BIN File in Mac OS X

Updated April 17, 2017

Mac OS X has a feature built in to it that lets you "mount" a BIN file in the operating system. This mounting process involves placing a BIN file (a virtual CD or DVD file) into a virtual disc drive on the computer so that you can use the virtual CD or DVD just like a real CD or DVD.

Boot into your Mac OS X system.

Click on the BIN file.

Click the "Utilities" button.

Click the "Mount Disk Image" button to mount the file.
