You may have to boot your Compaq Presario CQ60 from an operating system installation disc, a recovery disc or some other disc to run programs on your computer before the operating system on the computer starts up. To do this, you have to adjust the boot sequence so that the optical drive is the first option as opposed to the hard drive. This is done in the Setup Utility Program, which is accessible at system start-up.
