The Rockrider Hydration Pack is made by British company Decathlon. The Rockrider is designed for use by mountain bikers. The pack features a 2-liter water bag and uses the twist and sip spout. An elastic cord runs around the outside pocket, allowing helmets to be stored outside the pack. An 8-liter inside pocket and a small outside pocket provide ample storage for the rider.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Unscrew the cap on the water bladder. Fill it with cold water. Screw the cap back on and slide the bladder into the bladder sleeve on the inside of the large pocket of the Rockrider.

  2. 2

Thread the drinking hose through the hydration sleeve, found on the upper inside edge of the pack Bring the hose out through the slot then run it down the shoulder strap on your preferred side. Slide it through the nylon webbing holding straps along the shoulder strap.

  3. 3

Slide your shoulders through the two shoulder straps and bring the sternum/chest strap together across the front of your torso. Marry the male and female ends of the chest strap together and tighten until the chest strap is tight but does not impede breathing.

  4. 4

Keep the pack resting in the lower to middle portion of the back. This position on the back keeps it resting comfortably when the rider is in a stooped position.

  5. 5

Empty the bladder when done riding for the day. Keep the cap off and hang the bladder upside down to allow excess water to drip out. Keeping the cap off helps prevent the bladder from mildewing inside the sack.
