After connecting your Kodak ESP 3250 printer to your computer, it must be added to Windows in order to be used. In order for the printer to function properly, the Kodak All-in-One Printer software CD must be used to install the printer's drivers and firmware. The printer can be set up in Windows after the software for the Kodak ESP 3250 has been installed. Once the software has been installed and the Kodak ESP 3250 printer has been added to your computer, it can be used to print document, images and photos.
Start Windows and log in to an "Administrator" account. Insert the Kodak software CD into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. Click the "Install" button when the Kodak software installation window pops up. Click the "Finish" button that appears when the Kodak software has finished installing on your computer.
Close any open windows and click the "Start" button on the far left of your Windows taskbar. Click on the "Control Panel" icon on the right side of the menu that pulls up. Click the green "Hardware and Sound" link that appears in the "Control Panel" window. Click the blue "Add a printer" link under the "Devices and Printer" heading on the screen you are brought to.
Click the "Add a local printer" option in the "Add Printer" window that opens. Click the "Next" button at the bottom of the "Choose a printer port" screen. Click the "Have Disk..." button on the "Install the printer driver" screen.
Click "Browse" in the window that opens. Click the drop-down menu next to the "Look in:" text and select the Kodak software CD from the drop-down menu. Click the "Open" button to continue.
Click on the "Next" button at the bottom of the "Install the printer driver" page. The driver for your Kodak ESP 3250 printer will begin installing on your computer. Click the "Finish" button when you are notified that the installation has completed. The Kodak ESP 3250 printer will now be added to your computer and ready-to-use.
