A photo-based ink jet printer, the Epson Stylus R340 supports printing from memory cards and printing onto CD and DVD labels. The Stylus R340 may print with or without a computer attached. Although natively compatible with Windows XP, Epson also provides Windows Vista and Windows 7 drivers that you should install, depending on your operating system. If the printer's control panel shows an error message, use the information provided as a starting point for troubleshooting your issue.

    Eject any memory cards from the printer.

    Unplug the printer cable that connects the printer to the computer from the R340.

    Eject the CD or DVD if loaded into the CD/DVD tray. Close the tray.

    Insert paper into the sheet feeder.

    Press the "Setup" button on the printer's control panel.

    Press the down arrow and select "Nozzle Check."
