Keep your 1999 Audi A6 headlight assemblies clean and in good condition to receive the optimal level of light from your headlight bulbs. - T30 Torx bit
Raise the bonnet of the A6. Remove the three Torx bolts securing the assembly using a T30 Torx bit.
Press the retaining tab in and pull to disconnect the wiring harnesses attached to the headlight bulbs. Twist the headlight bulbs counterclockwise then slide them out of the assembly.
Pull the assembly out of the front of the car. Install the new assembly in the same orientation as the one you removed. Secure the retaining bolts and tighten them with a T30 Torx bit.
Insert the headlight bulbs and turn them clockwise until they lock. Push the wiring harness connections together until they click.
Repeat the process on the other light assembly if needed. Close the bonnet.
