The Google search engine features an auto-complete drop-down list that displays as soon as you begin typing your search query. Google attempts to predict what you are typing and offers a drop-down list of options that you can select from when entering your search terms. While the feature is intended to speed the search process, some users might find the auto-complete drop-down list to be distracting or otherwise unnecessary. Google does not provide a setting for disabling this feature, but you can disable search auto-complete from within your browser with user scripts.
